Kumrat valley is a valley in the Upper Dir District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Kumrat is covered with green pastures, snow-clad mountains, the river Panjkora, foggy mounds, and forests are attractions of the region, which serve as habitats for a variety of flora and fauna. It is located in the Upper Dir Kohistan region at the backside of the Swat Kohistan area of Gabral.

Katora Lake, which means a bowl in the Pashto language, is a high-altitude lake. It is an alpine glacial lake located in the upper reaches of Jahaz banda.

Jahaz Banda is a lush green and idyllic hill station in the Upper Dir Kohistan region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at 3,100 m above sea level. The region is surrounded by snow-clad mountains, towering trees, and covered by green pastures.

Jahazbanda and Kumrat Itinerary

• Day 01 – Islamabad to Kumrat

Departure from Islamabad early morning at 05:00 AM, Breakfast in Timergara, Arrival thal & transfers to Jeep for Kumrat Valley, Explore Kumrat, visit Kumrat Waterfall, Kala Chashma. Dinner and Overnight in Kumrat Valley.

 

• Day 02 – Kumrat to Jahazbanda

Breakfast 6:00 AM, Transfer to Jeeps. Jeeps safari to Takai Banda. Arrival Takai Banda, Start 3hours trek towards Jahaz Banda. Arrival Jahazbanda in the Evening. Explore Jahazbanda. Dinner & overnight Camping in Jahazbanda.

• Day 03 – Jahazbanda to Katora Lake

Today, we will go to Katora Lake, Breakfast at 6:00 AM, Start 3-4 hours Trek to Katora Lake, Reach Katora Lake at 11:00 PM. Explore the breathtaking Katora lake. Back to Jahazbanda in the evening. Dinner & overnight camping at Jahazbanda.

• Day 04 – Back Home

Breakfast call at 6:00 AM, Retrace to Takai Banda, back to Thal. Begin the journey to Home. Lunch on the way, Arrival Islamabad around 6:00 PM. Drop Islamabad participants and continue drive towards Lahore, End of tour.
